Hi! My name is Ed Gordon and I will begin offering $10 per night House & Pet sitting July 1st. That's when I'm beginning the epic adventure of moving into my tiny RV full time for 2-3 years to pay off all debt and save for a house! I don't drink or smoke (or smoke!) anything. I'm not loud or messy. I read, watch a little TV and try to help others in my free time. I am usually working on some sort of big project, most recently refurbishing my '84 Toyota Sunrader motorhome for the past year (a huge undertaking!)

I work full time, half time at my computer repair business and half time at HSU. I have a lot of flexibility at both jobs - especially Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (and of course weekends,) so please don't worry that I'll be too busy to spend time with your buddies! I'll be very clear and honest about what I can and can't do. If I think someone else would be a better match for your needs I'll let you know.

I am looking to sit houses within 30 minutes of Arcata, that are clean, quiet and comfortable, with safe parking for my rv. Big plusses for me are a hot tub, an especially nice view, or a big fenced yard for the dogs. One of the reasons I'm doing this so cheap (most other house / pet sitters charge $35-$45 per night,) is I hope to have a lot of offers and stay in some nice places.

I love all animals and am great with them all. All I ask is no aggressive dogs. I've taken care of dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens and pet birds.

I have two sweet golden retrievers myself, mother and son, that are very gentle and LOVE other animals. 

I am going to be living in an 18ft Toyota Motorhome for 2-3 years, need I say more? :) Oh, in case I haven't mentioned it yet - I'll stay as looooooong as you like!

I pet sat for a friend/neighbor a few times when I was out in Redwood Valley who had all sorts of critters and tasks.

I am very experienced at being a responsible, conscientious and organized person.

I just did a house sitting job for a friend in Eureka, and already have 4 others lined up after July 1st! I expect I'll be very experienced quite soon!

I owned and operated a commercial janitorial service in my 20's, "Executive Cleaning Services" - this was in the age before google so you'll just have to take my word for it, but I was well liked & trusted with lots of keys :)

I also work half time at Humboldt State University as an Information Technology Consultant. I've been at HSU since 2004, including 9 years for the campus police department as their main computer tech. I've been trusted with the passwords to HSU's systems, and campus master keycards, for many years.

I am very good at seemingly overwhelming & complex tasks. I use technology to simplify and organize things into manageable chunks ("eat the elephant one bite at a time...") I enjoy the challenge of untying complicated knots. I will do just fine with whatever you need done. My goal is to be you while you're away - so your pets, and home, won't be adversely affected by your absence.

I am gentle and patient with animals, but in control and not at all easily rattled. They will be in good hands, promise.

I will bring trustworthiness, reliability, great organizational skills & a heartfelt appreciation to be in your home :) I will make sure we're on the same page and that I understand exactly what needs to be done to make your time away from your home and loved ones worry free.
